ABOUT US

What is Cannaspeaks?

Cannaspeaks is the only boutique language agency working exclusively in cannabis. Not as a specialism alongside other sectors — cannabis is the only thing we do.
That focus matters because cannabis content isn’t generic. Terminology varies by market and regulatory context. A claim that’s legally sound in one country can create problems in another. A word that works in medical documentation doesn’t belong in consumer packaging. Getting this right requires knowing the industry, not just the language.
Every project we take on builds on the last. Glossaries, regulatory awareness and sector knowledge accumulate over time. That’s what you’re accessing when you work with us.

Our values

01 PRECISION OVER SPEED

Cannabis content has consequences. A terminology error in a regulatory submission, a mistranslated claim on packaging, an inconsistency across a multilingual website — these aren’t small problems. Every delivery goes through a structured review process before it leaves us.

02 YOUR DEAL WITH ONE PERSON

Rocío manages every project from brief to delivery. No account managers, no relay of information between you and the person doing the work. If something needs clarifying, you ask her directly. If something needs adjusting, it gets adjusted.

03 CANNABIS IS THE ONLY FOCUS

We don’t translate legal documents one week and tourism content the next. Cannabis is the only sector we work in. That means every project — yours included — makes us better at the next one.

ABOUT ROCÍO

Rocío del Amo has been a professional translator since 2008. When she began working with cannabis clients, she noticed something consistent: companies entering new markets were relying on generalist agencies that didn’t understand the sector. Terminology was inconsistent. Regulatory nuance was missed. Content that worked in one market created problems in another.

She founded Cannaspeaks in 2021 to fill that gap — not as a side specialisation, but as the entire focus.

Since then, she has combined her linguistic background with deliberate, sustained training in cannabis: cultivation, extractions, regulations, medical applications, business operations. Not to become a cannabis expert in every sense, but to develop the sector knowledge that makes linguistic decisions accurate.

She is a professional member of ASETRAD and based in Salamanca, Spain.

She manages every Cannaspeaks project directly — from first contact through to delivery.
